Gocco Christmas Cards

Now that I think we've sent all our Christmas cards out, it's time to unveil the power of the gocco! My husband and I had such a blast creating these fun Christmas cards with our portraits. I designed them in Illustrator and we used the gocco machine to hand press each one. Enjoy!

Holiday Party Tips

In two days is our annual Christmas party! This year I hand-pressed our invites with my gocco using PaperSource Ecowhite flatcards. Lovely.

Here are a few of Christmas party tips for those of you having your own "fiestas" this weekend:

1. Handmade / DIY favors are all the rage (as they should be!) Get your boyfriend, spouse, or best friend involved by designating a day to make little crafts for your bash. A few cookies with a handwritten note is the perfect treat.

2. Set up a photo booth in your house! You don't have to have a fancy camera or pricey equipment, just throw up a backdrop (you can use a sheet or even a designed backdrop at your local Party City), throw around some red boas or fake elf ears, and whip out that trusty camera for some fun pics! (They get even better after a few martinis...)

3. Instead of setting up a full bar, offer a signature drink. There are plenty of yummy holiday cocktails out there right now. My favorite (and my own personal recipe) is the Chaitini! Check out the recipe card here. You can download it and use it at your own bash this season.

4. Make sure to have fun! No one is going to notice if the tequila spilled on the kitchen floor or if you overcooked the pigs in a blanket. Rip off the apron and have a good time. People will remember your smiling face, which makes your party the best party of all the parties. :)

This year, we will be drinking salty + strong Margaritas, busting open a candy-filled Reindeer Pinata, devouring Pulled Pork Mini Tacos and Mexican Treats, and posing in funny Christmas costume accessories in our Photo Booth.

Cheers!
